Aspiring Cybersecurity Professional
About Me
I'm an aspiring cybersecurity professional based in Columbus, OH with a passion for threat detection, vulnerability research, and security automation. I approach security with an attacker's mindset and a defender's discipline.
I dual-boot Arch Linux and Windows 11, run my own home lab, and document everything. I believe the best security professionals are obsessive learners who never stop breaking and rebuilding things.
Labs & Projects
Deploy Wazuh SIEM in a VM, ingest logs from Windows 11, write custom detection rules, and document real alert triage.
Capture and analyze network traffic using Wireshark. Identify cleartext credentials, suspicious DNS queries, and anomalous patterns.
Set up DVWA locally and exploit SQLi, XSS, CSRF, and command injection vulnerabilities. Each finding documented with remediation steps.
A collection of purpose-built security tools: port scanner, log parser, file integrity checker via hashing, and a basic brute-force auditor.
Harden an Arch Linux install against CIS benchmarks — configuring AppArmor, nftables firewall, SSH hardening, auditd, and fail2ban.
